Sharjah Digital Department

Description

Description:
I am part of the backend team working on the Digital Sharjah application, a platform designed to provide a single access point for various government and utility services in Sharjah, UAE. The project follows a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach, with plans to migrate to a microservices architecture for improved scalability and maintainability.

The application serves as a service facilitator, eliminating the need for users to install multiple apps for managing daily transactions. Key services integrated into the platform include:

DU mobile payments, Etisalat mobile payments

Sharjah Municipality services: parking, fines, subscriptions, parking lots

SEWA (Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority) bills and services

Road services: paying fines, renewing driving and car licenses, taxi bookings, accident report generation (RAFID)

Sharjah Airport services

Donation services

The application seamlessly integrates with multiple entities to provide a comprehensive suite of services, making it easier for residents to manage their everyday transactions in one place.

Technology Used:

Backend: Java Spring Boot

Architecture: Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), transitioning to Microservices

Database: [Add relevant database technology, e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, etc.]

Integration: APIs for seamless communication with multiple external entities (DU, Etisalat, SEWA, Sharjah Municipality, etc.)

Cloud Services: [If applicable, AWS, Azure, etc.]
